Winnie
Winnie, our sweet chestnut mare, joined our family in 2017 at 17 years young. Her patience and kind demeanor made her a favorite for lessons and among campers, especially the newest and youngest riders. She enjoyed everything about camp. The doting attention, the gentle grooming, and refreshing baths…..and of course the treats. In turn, she took amazing care of her riders, always ensuring their safety while they had fun and grew their confidences as riders. She certainly lived up to her show name “Best Kept Secret.” Winnie helped teach hundreds of children how to ride throughout the years, and more importantly, how to love horses.
Winnie's Heart of Gold Touched Everyone Who Interacted With Her
Queen Winnie, shes a million dollar mare, kind, sweet, quiet as they come and perfect for the next generation to get legged up. We’re so lucky to have you Winnie, and we love you will all of our hearts.
She was the sweetest, kindest, and most patient teacher. We miss her desperately, but we are so grateful to have known her.
I loved riding Winnie at horse camp and during my lessons. She would stand so patiently while we all painted creative designs on her. We would then give her so many treats while she was getting a bubble bath to make her pretty. I miss Winnie and am forever thankful for her teaching me how to be a good rider.
Summer camp has always been one of my favorite times of the year. Teaching the kids about horses and riding is so much fun. And of course summer camp wouldn’t have been the same without sweet Winnie. She was the most gentle and caring horse and loved teaching all the kids.
We have so many fond memories of sweet Winnie…Sophie’s first blue ribbon. Thank you for sharing her and I promise, she will always be in our hearts.
